Poem, Cloudy Dawn

You know you get to a point,

where you look at it all,

at and around and through,

and sometimes even looking at you.

It's hard to get that we're not the boss anymore

but we don't have to fill our eyes with tears.

See, no one holds you preciously like I do

and I hold you close, close, near.

So really what'd you think about it

and tell me after your head has cleared'

cause sometimes it gets so cloudy

it seems the sun will never shine.

But then like nothing ever was before

all the sudden it's a dawning

and all the world's before us

because the sun is again shining darling.
